Uses It is the main raw material of unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and polyurethane resin; Propylene glycol has good viscosity and hygroscopicity, and is non-toxic. It is widely used as a moisture absorbent, antifreeze, lubricant and solvent in the food, medicine and cosmetic industries; In the food industry, it is an excellent solvent for seasonings and pigments. In medicine, it is a solvent, softener and excipient for making various humidizer and humectant; propylene glycol has good mutual solubility with various spices, so it can also be used  as a solvent and softener for cosmetics; it can also be used as a tobacco moisturizer, moisturizer, antimildew agent, food processing equipment lubricating oil and food marking ink solvent, propylene glycol aqueous solution is an effective antifreeze. It is also a raw material for plasticizers, surface active agents, food emulsifiers, demulsifiers, fruit ripening agents, preservatives, hygroscopic agents, lubricants, and antifreeze agents.
                                                  Hazard category General chemicals
Fire-fighting measures Use alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand to extinguish the fire, and use water to keep the container cool when it is critical.
Emergency treatment Non-toxic, if splashed on the skin or clothes, rinse with water, splash in the eyes with running water or normal saline.
Packaging, storage, transportation It can be packed in galvanized iron drum (200-215kg/drum), plastic drum (200-215kg/drum), IBC (ton drum), liquid bag, stainless steel tank; because propylene glycol is easy to absorb moisture, it should be stored in a closed container in a dry place, The shelf life of airtight barrels is one year, the storage effect of atmospheric tanks is not as good as barrels, and it is not suitable for long-term storage; transportation according to general cargo requirements.
